Job DetailsJob LocationWindhaven Center - Prescott Valley, AZPosition TypeFull Time 40 hours weeklyJob ShiftDay M-FDescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYThe Food Service Worker assists the Food Service Supervisor in training and scheduling Food Workers, performing quality control on food leaving the kitchen, and ordering inventory to keep up with demand. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESThe Food Service Worker is responsible for a variety of tasks, common duties include:• Assists in hiring and training new staff and providing training to facilitate quick acclimation• Streamlining the kitchen processes to maintain prompt service times for timely delivery at each site• Working with the Site Manager and Kitchen Supervisor to develop and maintain the menu and levels of service• Following regular cleaning standards for the kitchen and verifying that staff is maintaining sanitation levels • Assists in creating schedules for all kitchen staff and WAT clients• Assists with tracking kitchen finances to identify areas of potential waste and opportunities to increase potential income• Submits WAT client timesheets and all invoices in a timely manner to accounting department• Acts as a liaison for Polara Health and catering companies concerning use of the kitchens at each site contracted• Ensures all food and safety standards are upheld, enforcing AZ Dept. of Health standards including Food Handler certification for staff• Provides supervision and training to WAT clients as needed in the absence of a Vocational Specialist• Assists with expanding and developing the WAT and all program facets concerning production, utilizing participants to make lunches and deliver lunches• Assists in developing, marketing, and expanding staff lunch program to Prescott, Prescott Valley, and Chino Valley sites• Delivers and keeps inventory and supplies readily available for the Hot Meals Program and replenish supplies daily/weekly at each site.• Prepares breakfasts and lunches for New Employee Orientation, including delivery and set-up using staff or the WAT Program• Assists with creating and developing catering opportunities within Polara Health (Board meetings, committee meetings, site meetings) including menu diversity and selections• Other duties as assignedQualificationsQUALIFICATIONS
- 21 years of age or older; or minimum 18 years old and licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32 and providing services within the personnel member's scope of practice; or minimum 18 years old for select administrative positions
- Must be able to provide or obtain an AZDPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Must possess a valid Driver License
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required
- CPR, First Aid, and CPI certification required (training provided by Polara Health)
- Food Handler Certification required (Cost covered by Polara Health)
- Must have, or obtain within 2 weeks of hire, Food Safety Manager certification (Cost covered by Polara Health)
- Food Service experience required
