Forensic Engineering Consultant
Focus Forensics is looking for an effective Forensic Consultant to join our growing team. The Forensic Consultant is a professional who knows how to get things done. Transportation Focus
Candidate will have experience and aptitude with civil engineering and transportation engineering. Area of expertise should include transportation safety issues related to pedestrians, bicycles, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, highway-rail grade crossings, traffic signals, signs and markings, roadside barriers, and temporary traffic control.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Conduct vehicular and scene accident reconstructions in the field.
Prepare engineering analyses and mechanical failure assessments.
Write timely, detailed reports on completed projects.
Provide administrative support for engineers, including project management and client communications.
Conduct business ethically and honestly.
Maintain confidentiality of client and job information.
Assist with marketing and client relationship development.
Operate equipment safely.
Perform other assigned duties.
Excellent written, verbal, and customer service skills.
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
At least three (3) years of work experience preferred.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee needs to have the ability to drive to inspection sites.
While performing some of the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time while out of the office. The noise level while out of the office will usually be moderate. Within the office, working conditions will be normal for an office environment and the noise level is usually minimal.
