PEE DEE COALITION is an EEO employer - M/F/Vets/Disabled JobSummary: Toprovide assessments for suspected child physical and sexual abuse cases basedon a multidisciplinary service model combining clinical and forensic componentsinto a child-friendly interview process.GeneralResponsibilities:1. To provide pre-interview assessments with relevantfamily members and/or guardians.2. To provide pre-interview assessments with relevantDepartment of Social Services and /or Law Enforcement Personnel.3. To perform and document (on video or audio tape)interviews of suspected child and adolescent victims of abuse.4. To provide written interview summaries withcomprehensive recommendations and conclusions and to complete these promptly asto be admissible in a court of law.5. To be available to assist with case preparation andto provide expert testimony in criminal and/or family courts.6. To attend weekly case staffing with DurantChildren's Center Staff.7. To attend multidisciplinary case staffing asscheduled.7.OtherResponsibilities/ Center Duties1. Attend weekly Durant Children's Center staffmeetings.2. Submit monthly reports (program, DHEC)3. Assist with community education and trainingrequests and submit appropriate documentation. 4. Assist with volunteer/intern supervision.5. Attend Pee Dee Coalition staff meetings as requestedby the DCC Program Director. 6. Participate in staff backup rotation with the PeeDee Coalition.7. To participate in continuing education, training,and seminars to enhance the skills necessary for this job.8. To participate in grant writing and reporting asrequested. 9. Other assignments as deemed appropriate by the DCCProgram Director.9.Knowledge,Skills, and Abilities1. Good Communication Skills (verbaland written).2. Comprehensive knowledge of thedynamics of child abuse, including the psychosocial, physiological, andsocio-cultural aspects.3. Comprehensive knowledge of childdevelopment.4. Ability to effectively relate tochildren and adolescents.5. Knowledge of and ability to workwith area law enforcement, solicitors' offices, and Department of socialservices personnel in the 3rd, 4th, and 12th judicial circuits or others asrequested.6. Knowledge of community resources.QualificationRequirements:1. Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or arelated field.2. Three years of experience interviewing child victimsof suspected abuse and/or experience in child protective services, lawenforcement investigations, case preparation, and court testimony.Please visit our careers page to see more job opportunities.
