Forest Inventory Cruiser - Mendocino Forest Products Company : Job Details

This position works predominantly outdoors in various terrain and climatic conditions under the direction and supervision of a forest inventory manager. Performs timber inventory data collection (i.e., timber cruising) pursuant established forest inventory protocol in a variety of forest stand conditions. Conducts check cruises of selected inventory plots completed by other timber cruisers and contractors for quality control assurance. Reports data to forest inventory manager in an efficient and timely manner. Collects data for permanent growth plots. Collects data for carbon offset projects pursuant carbon data collection protocol. Aids forestry staff in pre-harvest cruising and other forestry related projects. Qualifications Minimum one (1) year timber cruising, forestry, or other related outdoor work experience; and/or bachelor's degree in forestry or related field.
