Forklift Driver - Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery : Job Details

Efficiently operating powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials, transport them between storage areas, machinery, and loading docks, and facilitate their movement into railroad cars, trucks, or storage facilities.Key duties: Review production schedules or shipping orders and transport materials or equipment to and from designated areas within the facility. Load and unload goods from vehicles, including trucks and aircraft. Relocate goods, packaged on pallets or in crates, throughout the storage facility. Organize and stack goods in appropriate storage bays according to inventory control guidelines. Ensure the security of loads. Manage the stacking of empty pallets. Conduct daily equipment inspections, including recharging truck batteries and lubricating machinery. Remove machine attachments and dispose of waste material. Inspect products to confirm compliance with quality standards. Transfer materials into machine hoppers.Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required Proficient in mathematics, language, and reading; basic computer skills may be necessary Strong attention to detail to ensure safety and prevent injuries; commitment to fostering a safe work environment Ability to follow equipment operation instructions and maintain accurate records Execute tasks with precision, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols Maintain a clean and orderly work environment Possess a clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operators license, if required Forklift certification in accordance with OSHA standards Ability to lift to 50 pounds regularly and adapt body position to perform tasks such as bending, stooping, standing, walking, turning, and pivoting, as well as maintaining a standing position for extended periods Strong balance and coordination, including eye-hand-foot coordination Ability to assess weights, distances, and heights accurately Capacity to work effectively in varying temperature conditions depending on the seasonSalary: $16-$17/hourTo Apply:
