Forklift Driver - Employers Depot : Job Details

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Driver to join our team. The Forklift Driver will be responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, transport, and store goods and materials in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, knowledge of warehouse operations, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.Key Responsibilities:Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move goods and materials.Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets safely and efficiently.Transport goods within the warehouse or production areas as required.Stack, organize, and store inventory in designated areas following safety protocols.Inspect forklifts daily to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.Verify product codes, quantities, and inventory accuracy.Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials.Assist in general warehouse duties such as packaging, sorting, and inventory management as needed.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.Qualifications:Proven experience as a forklift operator.Valid forklift certification/license (as required by local laws and regulations).Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory procedures.Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.Basic math and reading skills.Good communication and teamwork skills.Working Conditions:Work is typically performed in a warehouse or industrial setting.May involve exposure to loud noises, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
