Forklift Mechanic - Smithfield Foods : Job Details

Our distribution team members play a critical role in delivering our products to our customers safely, and efficiently while upholding Smithfield quality standards. To do this a variety of Powered Industrial Trucks are used daily by our team members to move, store, and load products for our customers. A skilled Mechanic in Powered Industrial Trucks Repair and Preventive Maintenance is important to ensure the equipment is ready for our team to use with little to no downtime. The Mechanic will conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of forklifts and material handling equipment, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, by providing efficient repairs and solutions. This position requires maintenance proficiency and skills with equipment such as Pallet Jacks, Standup and Sit-Down Forklifts, and Reach and Turret Trucks, among others.
