Forklift Operator (7am-7pm) - Silgan Containers Corporation : Job Details

Responsible for:Promote and work safely throughout the facility following all Safety Policies. Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and required GMP gear. Be aware of all Emergency Exits and know procedures for Emergency Evacuation. Knowing the location of the SDS Safety Data Sheets and how to utilize properly. Know not to operate any equipment or perform any work without the proper training and authorization to complete the task safely. Always follow proper LOTO lock out/tag out procedures. Never remove or bypass machine guards and NEVER while the machine is in operation. Be cautious and aware of lift trucks and moving equipment. Report all injuries or accidents to the Department Lead or Manager immediately. Understand and follow plant housekeeping guidelines. Keep Resin Room dust mopped. Work areas must stay clean and safe on and around equipment. Areas should be free of oil spills and other contaminants. Keep all machines free of material and dust.
