**Forklift Operator Assistant Yard Manager**

Forest Materials, a Commercial Architectural Woodwork company and Union Millwork Shop is looking for a Forklift Operator and Assistant Yard Manager to join our Team. We will provide training and ongoing mentoring! We are a family-owned business that takes pride in the quality of our products and customer-centric service, as well as our employees. Forest Materials has been proudly creating high quality custom cabinets and architectural millwork for over 50 years.

**Responsibilities**

- Load and unload lumber, millwork and other building supplies

- Operate and maintain forklift

- Organize material in warehouse/yard

- Maintain a clean and safe environment

- Complete other tasks as assigned

- Make local deliveries as needed

**Requirements**

* Previous forklift experience preferred, however not required

* Knowledge of lumber species preferred, however not required

* Forklift certification required and paid by the company to obtain

* CDL Drivers license preferred, however not required and will train to obtain

* Team player willing to help others and provide excellent customer service

* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions

* Excellent attendance and strong work ethic

* Basic math skills

**Environmental/Physical requirements**

* Position is often performed in adverse weather elements and does not permit frequent sitting

* Must be able to handle dust, noise, lumber, variety of weather conditions

* Excellent physical condition and coordination, able to carry, lift, push, pull objects over 50 pounds

* Requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, lifting, crouching, kneeling, grasping

**Hours Required**

Full-time Monday - Friday 7:30am4:00pm (Summer Hours 7:00am-3:30pm), limited mandatory over-time
