The Forklift Operator I is certified to operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts. This entry-level position involves loading and unloading trucks, as well as putting away materials using either type of forklift. Additionally, the Forklift Operator I may be tasked with other duties as assigned. Functions of the Position: % of Time Essential/ Marginal Handles loading and unloading of trucks, placing items in racks, verifies received goods against order documentation, signs Bills of Lading (BO - Ls), and applies License Plates (L - Ps) as instructed. Picks and puts away orders. 65% Essential Inspects trucks and documents inspection. 10% Essential Assists in keeping warehouse clean and organized. Sweeps, dusts, picks up trash, tapes up any open cases and organizes pallets, etc. 10% Marginal Rotates inventory using FIFO method. 5% Marginal Conducts pre-operation inspections of equipment and reports any deficiencies.
