When you succeed - we succeed. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Forklift Operator, working independently is one of your many strong suits! You will work individually in Michigan's lovely weather assembling building materials and lumber for delivery and customer pick up. In this fast-paced environment, you will always portray a customer and company first mentality, as well as possess the innate ability to multitask. You must be self-motivated, dependable, and willing to create an overall great experience for our customers. THE NITTY GRITTY
- The people things:
- You are friendly and professional, responding quickly to customer and team member needs.
- Communicate with peers, customers, and vendors respectfully, honestly, and openly.
- The forklift operator things:
- Prepare and assemble materials for shipment.
- Drive forklift trucks as duties require and in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures

- Inspect forklift truck daily and preform all minor maintenance necessary for that day's operation
- Pick material from the area of responsibility: picking material due both that day and the day following when time allows
- Assist in loading trucks
- Restock material, as required
- Ability to recognize and focus on the quality of materials, correcting if items are missing, damaged, or refused.
- Utilize basic functions of WMS system on a scanner gun; (including but not limited to receive, put away, move, cycle inventory, select, and customer ship).
WHAT YOU NEED Qualifications
- 2 years warehouse / material handling experience (preferred) *will train the right candidate(s)*
- Warehouse Operations: 1 year (preferred)
- Prior building material knowledge and/or construction experience: 1-2 years (preferred)
Interpersonal Skills:
- A strong steward of Mans culture and core values
- Ability to quickly learn, use and adapt to software, such as WMS system.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record; reliable transportation is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates almost entirely outdoors. This role routinely uses equipment including but not limited to forklifts. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Capable of physically demanding work with the ability to lift up to 75-100 lbs. consistently.
- Heavy lifting - up to 100 lbs.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK Days and hours of work will be Monday through Friday 10:30 AM - 7PM+ and at least one Saturday per month. Oftentimes, overtime is required by the nature of this position, so having a flexible schedule is important. Exceptional opportunities for overtime are rewarded.
