Forklift Operator - Inova Staffing : Job Details

The Equipment Operator under direction performs the safe operation of electric and/or internal combustion powered industrial equipment such as forklifts to load and unload trailers, weigh, and transfer pre-processed and finished inventory using scanner and tablets. Potential to operate fixed equipment such as balers and shredders along with other mobile equipment such as skid steers, front end loader, and excavators.Minimum QualificationsEducation: HS Diploma/GED preferred. Not required.Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience preferred in equipment operating.Experience using scanners.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities• Ability to use our internal inventory system.• Understand inventory and designated areas in warehouse.• Good attention to detail.• Strong communication skills.• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.• Lift up to 50 Ibs as needed.• Ability to stand and bend repeatedly throughout a work shift.Essential Duties & Responsibilities• Operates industrial vehicles and equipment.• Loads and unloads designated trailers and internally transports materials within processing and/or warehouse areas.• Perform daily inspections.• Ensures compliance with regulatory and company policies /procedures.• Identifies hazardous waste materials and adheres to instructions related to their movement/process.• Promotes a safe work environment through personal actions, as well as identifying safety concerns as well as cost saving opportunities.• Conducting inventory checks• Breaking down and/or sorting electronic devices• Other duties as assigned.
