Job Description

CHEP Services is hiring Sit Down Forklift Operators for our location in Baltimore, MD. Are you a forklift operator? Are you familiar with the warehouse environment? Are you focused on safety? Are you reliable and customer-driven? If so, CHEP Services would like you to apply.

What does a Forklift Operator's day-to-day look like with CHEP?

• Operates Sit Down Forklift to move pallets through the different departments in the plant.
• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
• Positions forks, lifting platforms, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets and transports load to designated area.
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering the lifting device.
• The forklift operator supplies and retrieves pallets or materials from different departments throughout the plant as needed.
• The operator is responsible for making decisions regarding the movement of pallets or materials to maximize the plant's efficiency.
• May lubricate and replace the liquefied gas tank if needed

What does CHEP look for in a candidate to work as a Forklift Operator?

• 2+ years of previous experience operating the sit-down forklift.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 2+ years previous experience working in an industrial, fast-moving setting with industrial machinery.
• Forklift Certification is preferred but not required.

Schedule in Need

• 2nd Shift - Monday to Friday, 4:00 pm to 12:30 am
