Job Summary The Parts Coordinator II is responsible for efficiently managing parts inventory, pulling parts from pick lists, and ensuring that parts are correctly packaged, shipped, and crated for overseas delivery. This role requires familiarity with warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping, and receiving, as well as the ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. The position also demands accurate use of a tape measure and building crates suitable for international shipping. The Parts Coordinator II will frequently collaborate with team members to ensure that warehouse orders are processed accurately and on time.
Core Responsibilities Stock and Inventory Management - Correctly place incoming stock in the appropriate warehouse location.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the system, updating as necessary.
- Perform daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Parts Pulling & Order Fulfillment - Pull parts from the warehouse shelves based on pick lists for customer and internal orders.
- Ensure orders are complete and accurate before shipment.
- Support the shipping and receiving team by preparing parts for delivery to customers or vendors.
Packaging & Shipping - Package parts securely for domestic and international shipment.
- Build custom crates for international shipments, ensuring parts are protected during transit.
- Ship parts via appropriate carriers, including UPS, FedEx, and freight truck services.
- Ensure all shipping labels, paperwork, and customs documentation for international shipments are accurate and complete.
Material Handling - Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (e.g., cranes) to move heavy or bulky items safely.
- Ensure safe loading and unloading of parts and materials from freight trucks and pallets.
- Assist with receiving freight from vendors, verifying contents against purchase orders.
Safety & Compliance - Follow all safety guidelines and 5S practices related to warehouse operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures regarding inventory management, shipping, and safety protocols.
Collaboration & Communication - Coordinate with team members to monitor backlog of orders and request assistance as needed.
- Provide timely updates to the supervisor regarding inventory levels and any potential issues with order fulfillment.
- Communicate effectively with other departments, vendors, and customers as needed to resolve any shipping or inventory issues.
Qualifications Education & Experience - High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years of experience in warehouse or inventory management, including shipping and receiving.
- Experience with material handling equipment, including forklifts and cranes.
- Familiarity with crating and packaging for international shipments is a plus.
Skills & Competencies - Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems.
- Proficient with using tape measures and tools to accurately package and crate items.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and assist with heavy lifting as required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory and order fulfillment tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
Physical Requirements - Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently during the workday.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Ability to work in various warehouse conditions, including cold storage, outdoor areas, and confined spaces.
