Forklift Operator - Compunnel : Job Details

Role Overview: The Forklift Operator will assist in the picking, storing, and handling of copier machines. This role involves operating a cherry picker, performing light carpentry work to build decks in containers, and managing physical tasks like loading, pushing, and wrapping machines. The position requires standing, lifting, and working with various equipment and staging areas in a warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Cherry Picker Operation:
• Operate a cherry picker to assist in the picking and storing of copier machines.
• Shrink Wrapping:
• Use hand wrap to shrink-wrap orders for shipment.
• Machine Handling:
• Push and position machines into various staging locations as required.
• Assist with loading machines into containers.
• Light Carpentry:
• Perform light carpentry work to build decks inside containers for safe transport and storage of items.
• Physical Tasks:
• Perform physical tasks including standing, pushing machines, and assisting with lifting over 50 pounds (help available for heavy lifting).
• Warehouse Environment:
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment and adhere to safety procedures.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Warehouse Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
• Physical Ability: Must be capable of standing and lifting up to 50 pounds (assistance available for heavier loads).
• Attention to Safety: Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate clothing as required.
• Carpentry Skills: Light carpentry skills for building decks in containers are a plus.

Education: High School
