Forklift Operator - Aldez Containers : Job Details

Department: Warehouse/LogisticsJob Summary:The Forklift Operator plays a key role in supporting the overall operations of the warehouse. This position involves a variety of tasks related to the receipt, storage, and shipment of products, contributing to the smooth functioning of the warehouse and ensuring timely fulfillment of customer orders.Blue Shift (6:30AM-3:15PM)Gold Shift (7:15PM-4:00)**Both shifts are subject to up to 2.5 hours of overtime daily**Key Responsibilities:Order Picking and Packing:Accurately pick and pack products according to customer orders and organizational standards.Ensure proper labeling and packaging of items for shipment.Receiving and Inspection:Receive incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of the received products against packing lists.Report and document any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor.Inventory Management:Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by performing regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.Organize and manage inventory within the warehouse.Material Handling:Safely operate various warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.Transport materials and products to designated storage areas.Quality Control:Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet established standards.Report any product defects or quality issues to supervisors.Team Collaboration:Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives.Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors regarding work tasks and priorities.Cleaning and Maintenance:Keep the warehouse clean and organized, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions promptly.Shipping and Documentation:Prepare shipping documents and labels for outgoing shipments.Coordinate with shipping carriers and ensure timely dispatch of orders.Safety Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.Participate in safety training programs and maintain a safe working environment.Qualifications and Skills:Must pass a drug screen and Nationwide background check.Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.Must be flexible to work potential overtime and some weekends.Ability to speak, read, and write English.Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.Basic math and computer skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.Strong organizational and time management skills.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.Ability to lift and move heavy objects.Ability to stand, walk, squat, and stoop for 8 – 12 hour shifts.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Working Conditions:Work may involve exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.May be required to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.Note:This job description is not exhaustive and may be subject to change based on the needs of the organization.Blue Shift (6:30AM-3:15PM)Gold Shift (7:15PM-4:00)**Both shifts are subject to up to 2.5 hours of overtime daily**Compensation details:18-19.5 Hourly WagePIbe94f4a9e934-35216-#######1
