Founding Senior Back-End Engineer - Dropverse : Job Details

The founding Back-end Engineer will be a formative part of the early team and have the opportunity to develop foundational infrastructure and scalable systems to support the Dropverse mobile app, and make critical decisions that define the software architecture of Dropverse's technical ecosystem.

Extensive experience building secure, scalable, and robust server-side systems and infrastructure.

Deep understanding of software architecture best practices, especially relating to low-latency server-client networking.

Demonstrated ability to ship consumer apps and support them in production.

Experience using on-demand cloud computing platforms.

Experience administering databases and writing query languages.

Fundamental understanding of blockchain technology.

Ability to lead engineering efforts and communicate with teammates to derive and execute on system requirements.

Ability to adapt and iterate quickly with stable software infrastructure.

Basic to intermediate experience understanding and writing Solidity smart contracts.

A passion or curiosity for mainstream applications of blockchain technology.

Experience building infrastructure to optimize for fast, scalable geolocation data querying.

An interest or background in designing game mechanics.

Experience developing real-time applications that utilize websockets for low-latency networking.

Experience delivering software iterations via Agile methodologies.

Compensation and equity will be highly competitive. This is a full-time role that includes health insurance, unlimited PTO, and travel benefits. Dropverse is a remote-first company with a presence in NYC and Miami.
