Freelance Legal Translators - FrenchJTG is currently seeking translators from French into EnglishLocation: Remote (work from home) Status: Freelance contractorCitizenship Status: U.S. citizen residing in the U.S. (dual citizenship permitted)Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate translation of documents involving law enforcement and legal subjects
• Transcribe audio files and translate them into target language
• Communicate fluently in English orally and in writing
• Translate in accordance with designated style and quality standards
• Use domain-specific terminology
• Review the quality of other translators' work as needed

Basic Qualifications:

• Proficient in translating between English and a foreign language
• Experience as a professional translator
• Familiarity with legal terminology
• Willing to undergo a US government background check
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred qualifications:

• Law degree, paralegal certificate, or court interpreting experience
• Experience with editing, audio transcription, or interpreting
• Security clearance
