Position Overview: Freelance Technical Designer will have a passion for garment construction and possess strong skills in Adobe Illustrator and PLM software. fittings and specing garments. Technical Designer Responsibilities: • Collaborate with design and product management teams to develop technical specifications for new products • Conduct fit sessions, including size sets to make necessary fit corrections • Communicate Fit Comments with factories • Able to identify fit issues, perform fit adjustments • Conduct fittings and provide feedback on garment construction • Create detailed technical sketches using Adobe Illustrator • Update Tech Packs • Work closely with production teams to ensure accurate execution of designs Technical Designer Qualifications: • Understanding of garment construction • Ability to identify fit issues and present options to solve issues • Proficient in Illustrator, MS Excel • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to team members and appropriate departments • Time management and organization skills • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities • Sense of urgency and extreme attention to detail • Ability to proactively problem solve
