The Opportunity
The position ofFreezer Coordinatoris within Toxicology located atRichmond, Va. In this role, the individual will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the freezers, including specimenorganization/tracking,and specimen disposal in accordance with various regulatory requirements.
What You'll Work On
Remove and destroy freezer boxes
Assist in Sample Handling
Receive and open specimens delivered to the laboratory for analysis
Sort specimens into bins and transfer to the departments
Process courier deliveries and store in designated areas
Destruction of specimens and boxes
Inspect all trash bags once sorting process is completed to ensure sample and document removal
Maintain cleanliness of the Warehouse Accessioning area
Assist with freezer cleanout and organization
Review and document acceptability of specimen and chain of custody forms
Adhere to all security procedures for ensuring confidentiality of donor information
Must comply with company policies
Required Qualifications
High school or GED
Good driving record
COMPETENCIES:
Basic ability to understand laboratory technique and procedures
Basic ability to communicate ideas
Basic ability to understand certification requirements for SAMHSA, CAP-FUDT, and other regulatory bodies
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds
Ability to have full body movement
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Climate-controlled office and testing laboratory environment
Must be able to work in a refrigerated and 20-degree freezer area for storing and removing samples
Must be able to climb stairs
May be potential exposure to toxic or hazardous materials

The base pay for this position is $15.45– $30.85 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
