Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freight Agent to join our team. As a Freight Agent, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the transportation of goods for our clients. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods for clients
  • Negotiate rates with carriers and ensure cost-effective solutions
  • Arrange shipments and schedule pickups and deliveries
  • Track shipments and provide updates to clients
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and other relevant industry standards
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and other documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients throughout the shipping process
    • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of logistics sales and supply chain management
  • Proficiency in transportation management software
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable rates with carriers
  • Ability to analyze contracts and identify potential risks or opportunities
  • Experience in dispatching and coordinating shipments
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
    • Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Freight Agent or similar role in the transportation industry
  • Current Customer Base
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions
