Fright Fest Escort - Six Flags : Job Details

Please note: this is a short-term position for a specific event and time period.

Summon the dead as an Escort! You will prioritize safety, create positive Guest experiences, and be responsible for attending to Scare Actors. We need talented people to walk the line between the living and the dead…do you have what it takes?

Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Keeping the Scare Actor's safety in mind at all times.
• Escorting Scare Actors through the park, keeping track of assigned performers, and handling any issues that may arise in an appropriate manner.
• Keeping Guest safety and satisfaction in mind. This will include maintaining order in your assigned area, providing excellent “Guest First” customer service, and answering questions regarding general park information and Fright Fest.

• Maintaining the theme/storyline of your haunted locale.

• Monitoring Scare Actor interactions to ensure procedures are met and providing direct feedback if standards and rules are not followed.
• Providing feedback to Supervisor on any behavior that may require coaching or disciplinary/praiseworthy action to maintain and improve performance.

• Ensuring general housekeeping for your area.
• Wearing and properly maintaining your uniform. This will include wearing park-approved shoes and black dress pants that you will provide.

• Immediately reporting any unsafe acts and/or conditions to the unit Supervisor and Security personnel.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must adhere to park standards and rules and must maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Must be extremely observant, detail-oriented, and able to focus on the task at hand.
• Must be a “people person” and have a caring and helpful attitude.
• Must be professional, self-motivated, and participate as a member of the team.
• Must have good leadership skills, with the ability to troubleshoot problems and identify solutions.
• Must demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to the Six Flags Mantra: Friendly, Clean, Fast, and Safe Service.
• Must work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays. You are applying to be an integral part of a show and should be available for all performance dates.

Physical Requirements:

• You will work in a fast-paced environment with specific timeframes and deadlines.
• You must be in good physical condition: be able to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, stoop, kneel, speak clearly, listen closely, and more for extended periods of time.
• You must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• You will work in and outdoors in potentially extreme heat, sun, cold, rain, humidity, and temperature changes.
• You must be able to work around loud noises, in the dark or under special effects lighting (possibly strobes), and in theatrical fog, occasionally navigating in dark, restrictive spaces under aforementioned circumstances.
• Overtime of adults may be required from time to time to accommodate the business need.
