Job Type: Full-time

Anne Arundel Urology is currently looking for experienced Front Desk Representatives for our offices in Annapolis, Bowie, Glen Burnie, Greenbelt, and Odenton.

The primary focus of this role is to provide upbeat, cheerful, and exceptional customer service when meeting and greeting our patients. This involves checking in and out of our patients in a courteous and compassionate manner, ensuring the flow of the waiting room so that patient wait times are kept to a minimum, coordinating visits with the care team as necessary, and documenting complete and accurate information.

This role also requires some routine administrative duties which include, but are not limited to, preparing correspondence, acknowledging patients/visitors, scheduling appointments, answering phones, obtaining signatures, updating information in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, mentoring/training new staff, and responding to inquiries and requests.

  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude. Adhere to dress code.
  • Possess excellent written and spoken English – (bilingual is an advantage)
  • Customer Service Skills (empathy, kindness, caring, respect, consideration, etc.)
  • Focus and Attention to details.
  • Telephone and Email Skills.
  • Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation.
  • Experience with Allscripts/Veradigm software is a plus!
  • Experience with Phreesia software is a plus!

Hours of Work:

Full Time: Monday – Friday - 40 Hour week with variable shift pattern.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED, Required

Associate degree in hospitality, Business, Communications or Related Field; Preferred

Min Experience:

One year experience in healthcare service, customer, or patient-facing role.

One year of work experience in patient scheduling, and/or Call Center; Preferred.

Experience with medical terminology.

Experience with computers required.

Travel:

You will be required to occasionally travel between offices based on organizational needs.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
