The Front Desk Clerk must represent the company and its relations with residents and employees, reflect the attitudes, policies and general personality of the property.Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Responsible for serving as the first point of contact for all guests, residents, and potential residents.
- Answering and transferring calls to the respective property employee.
- Responding to inquiries pertaining to the property from guests or residents.
- Responsible for ensuring a professional and courteous environment.
- Duties include but are not limited to any task assigned by management related to the entire property operations, which comprise of tasks in the Business/Leasing and Engineering offices.
- Monitor and control general lobby and common areas to ensure adherence with company policies.
- Assist with any deliveries or vendors as they arrive at the property.
- Collect any service request from residents and distribute to the maintenance staff.
- Assist managers and other staff members with work to be done.
- Maintain a professional appearance and display a good attitude at all times.
- Report immediately any incidents or accidents occurring on the site to the Resident Manager.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years front desk, office, administrative, or customer service experience
- Consistent work history
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good communication skills and phone etiquette
- Computer knowledge
- Filing experience
- Reliable
- Ability to work with limited supervision
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Work Environment: Employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Physical Demands: While performing duties of this job, employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle objects and documents; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Vision: Must be sufficient to read reports, instructions, correspondence, and any other written material pertinent to your job.
- Hearing: Must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, both in person and by telephone.
- Speech: Must be coherent to interact with guests.
- Physical Mobility: Must be sufficient to move about in office and properties including climbing stairs and to drive an automobile and be able to operate office machines.
