Job Description :

The Bowery Hotel is a 135 room boutique luxury hotel located in the Noho/East Village area of Manhattan.

We are looking for a motivated, experienced Front Desk / Guest Service Agent who prioritizes exceptional customer service and is looking to grow within our company.

Compensation is $26.22 per hour, plus commissions on certain concierge bookings.

Requirements and Job Description:

Previous Front Desk Agent or Guest Service Agent experience at a hotel is highly preferred.

If the candidate does not have hotel experience; customer service, personal assisting, travel industry, administration or production experience is a must.

Ability to work in a high volume environment with a calm and cool demeanor is essential. This is a position where details matter and communication is key.

This position will include but is not limited to the following:

· Checking guests in and out of the hotel.

· Written communication with guests and potential guests via email.

· Setting up billing for guests.

· Concierge services for our guests.

· Taking reservations.

· Answering all calls in a prompt, professional and efficient manner.

· Attention to detail when entering reservations, noting requests, managing VIP's is crucial.

· Processing in-room dining phone orders from in-house guests.

· Thorough communication with other departments.

· Clear communication with managers as well as upper management.

· Detailed procedures to be followed daily.

· Other duties as assigned.

· Existing OPERA property management system experience is a very strong plus.

· High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.

· College course work in Hotel/Hospitality field helpful.
