Front Desk intern accommodates the guests and owners of the resort by checking them in and out of the resort, assisting with concierge duties, settling account, assisting with room challenges, etc.Front Desk Intern checks in and out guests/owners, balances accounts, acts as a Concierge, learns some reservations and housekeeping duties.
-Anticipate filling position by September 30, 2024 for a late Nov/early Dec. start date.-Earns $17/hour which includes shared housing or $20/hr without housing-Benefits available: Retirement Benefits with a company match program, Colorado sick time, Holiday pay after 90 days, and Parking.-Available late Nov/early Dec through mid April 2025-Available any day of the week for morning, mid, and evening shifts
Job duties include but not limited to:
-Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
-Issues room key and assist guests with directions and an overview of property and amenities.
-Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
--Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts.
-Computes bill, collects payment, and makes change for guests.
--Posts charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone, to ledger.
-Deposits guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box.
-Completes shift check list as assigned.
-Opportunities to spend time in Reservations and housekeeping too.
-Able to receive a discounted merchant pass or season end bonus.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Word and Excel word processing software and Spring Miller Rooms Management System database software.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Drivers' License helpful.

Compensation Range:The compensation for this position is $17.00/Hr. - $20.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
