Position Summary

The Front Desk Specialist for Wound Healing performs a wide range of administrative support functions to facilitate of the daily operations of the Wound Center to include: reception, patient scheduling, registration, referral coordination, insurance verification, processing billing information, charge entry, payment posting, batch balancing, cash reconciliation/balancing, etc. The Specialist operates as the initial contact for patients and guests of the Center serving as the primary information resource for referrals and insurance plan guidelines. The incumbent provides exceptional customer service, and presents a professional appearance and manner at all times to positively represent the department.

Requirements

* High school graduate or equivalent preferred

* Two (2) years previous clerical experience

* One (1) year of experience working with insurance company, referrals or patient access matters

* Experience with CPT and ICD-10 coding, preferred

* Vocational training in medical front office desired

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $18.56 - $26.72 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
