Stout's Island Lodge is a magical resort located on an island in the middle of Red Cedar Lake near Rice Lake, WI. Our resort is well known for providing superior customer service, we are seeking to hire individuals who will honor and uphold this tradition. Our Front Desk staff serve a vital function for the entire resort. They must serve as the primary hub for communication between guests and staff before, after, and during a guest's stay. Our office staff will be the first person a guest will speak to at Stout's Island Lodge-in some cases, before a guest has even decided to stay with us. In conjunction with our website and advertising and word of mouth, the Front Desk team sets the expectations of our guests. During a guest's stay, the Front Desk team must ensure that those expectations are met (and hopefully exceeded) by supporting other roles in the organization (boat drivers, maintenance, housekeeping, and the restaurant). And finally, after a guest's stay, this position ensures the guest is billed properly and their departure is smooth. Answering phones, assisting with gift shop sales, providing guests with information about the area, taking reservations for the restaurant and the resort, communicating arrival and departure information to housekeeping and boat drivers for clean rooms and luggage delivery and pick up-this is just a short list of the tasks the Front Desk must juggle to ensure guest satisfaction. The Front Desk team can also expect to assist in the restaurant and for events when necessary. While most tasks will be administrative and customer-centered, it is important to note that in the service of guests our Front Desk staff may be asked to perform duties of other departments. Individuals who succeed in this role are excellent problem solvers, multitaskers, resourceful, and handle stress well.
