Hampton Inn Del Mar is hiring a full time Front Desk Supervisor. Ideal candidate will be a hardworking team player who provides oversight and support to staff and has a dedication to providing the highest level of service to our guests. Prior hotel experience is required, previous Hilton brand experience preferred. Compensation:

$21.50 - $23.76 based on experience

Del Mar Hotel, LLC dba Hampton Inn Del Mar requires the successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check upon offer of employment.

Requirements

This is a full time position working varied hours including weekends and holidays.

  • Use Hilton's PMS system PEP as well as Kipsu, Lodgistics and the Market POS system ImpulsePoint.
  • Trains and supervises Front Desk agents.
  • Maintains knowledge of current room types, rate structures, and features.
  • Takes and processes individual and group reservations.
  • Checks guests in and out. Fills out appropriate forms for payment and posts information to computer system.
  • Prints and reconciles various reports throughout shift to ensure accurate guest information including rates, length of stay, method of payment, and incidental charges.
  • Records events of each business day using the Care/Opportunity Log and red book to ensure accurate communication between shifts.
  • Dispatches daily maintenance calls and work request orders to Engineering and Housekeeping through Lodgistics.
  • Uses Voice Mail and walkie-talkies at appropriate times.
  • Assists guests with items such as property amenities, directions, information about the area, etc.
  • Updates reservation system when reservations have been booked or canceled.
  • Adjusts complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.
  • Handles cash and charge transactions, maintains accurate records and balances at the end of each shift.
  • Balances bank at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Responsible for accurate shift closing reports.
  • Informs housekeeping of checkouts and new arrivals.
  • Follows up on all outstanding guest assistance requests.
  • Functions as Manager on Duty when needed.
  • Provides quality service to guests that meets or exceeds expectations by anticipating guest needs. Always maintaining a polite, friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Covers shifts if short staffed or call-offs.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
