This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Coastal Empire Community Mental Health Center, 151 Dillon Drive, Hilton Head, SC 29928.1. Responsible for centralize scheduling for psychiatrists and all other mental health professionals; make reminder calls; process intakes; answers phones and directs calls; distributes mail, faxes and all correspondence; creates and mails client correspondence; maintains office equipment & inventory; disperses compassionate medication and maintains medication log; updates client insurance information annually and ensure updates annual electronic signatures are captured.2. Responsible for annual client financial reviews; batch and routes all accounts receivables; updates daily cash log; import documents into EMR; Update CIS; completes all ticket corrections, charges and paybacks; maintains and posts financial data to ledgers, collections of payments, and completes deposit transactions daily; encourages clients to make payments on account.3. Responsible for completing various service request; ensures all documentation is provided at initial appointment; maintains all client records; manages all information in EMR and CIS according to SCDMH, Medicaid/Medicare, QA and CARF policies and procedures and in adherence to HIPPA guidelines. 4. Performs duties of both Administrative Specialist position in absence of other support staff, covering for lunch schedules and any type of leave. Other duties as requestedMinimum and Additional Requirements State: A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
