The Front of House area at the College of Performing Arts (CoPA) at The New School seeks a highly motivated student to serve as an Usher. The Front of House Department is responsible for the patron experience at on-site events. We are looking for responsible, personable, communicative, and punctual individuals. The usher reports to the Manager of Event Operations and is an ideal position for students interested in a career in performing arts, events, and production.

This position is open to student applicants with Federal Work Study awards, as well as student applicants without a Federal Work Study award.

Work Mode: On-Campus Position, nights and weekends required

Hourly Rate: $16

Hours per Week: 20 (maximum)

Responsibilities

* Greet patrons and answer questions

* Distribute printed programs to patrons

* Assist patrons in finding their seats

* Check in patrons using our app-based check-in system

* Execute stage changes for classical recitals when assigned

* Additional responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

* Background and education in the performing arts

* 2 years usher experience

* 2 years experience in customer service

* Recipient of Federal Work Study award
