This position is full-time, working M-F 7:30am - 4:00pm with rotating Saturday's.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Front Office Associate II to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Front Office Associate II, you will be responsible for providing services to patients and referring professionals by answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting and registering patients in a cheerful, professional, and sincere manner, and performing other duties as assigned. In addition, serves as a resource to the team and other departments. With a float position, you may be required to cover at other locations within their scheduled time as needed. This position is full-time, working 7:30am - 4:00pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

(60%) Registration

* Greets and checks-in of patients scheduled for imaging services; processes payment as needed

* Answers phones and handles calls in an efficient and friendly manner

* Fields calls appropriately for center associates

* Acts as liaison between technologists and the patients waiting for exams and relays messages regarding scanner status and other clinic information

* Maintains front office lobby area by straightening magazines, organizing coffee supplies and assisting with general office clean up

* Orders office supplies as needed

* Maintains supply of patient information sheets

* Pushes imaging via electronic interfaces

* Completes confirmation calls and provides preparation instructions to patient

* Faxes reports, billing information, and medical release forms as requested

(15%) Scheduling

* Arranges transportation, interpreters, and hotel accommodations for patients when appropriate

* Enters and submits patient exam orders

* Verifies orders match exam schedules

* Schedules referrals and ensures proper authorizations are obtained

* Schedules walk-in patients

* Processes requests for image orders and CDs from referring physicians and patients

* Maintains an up-to-date and accurate database on all current and potential referring physicians

(15%) Insurance

* Verifies patient's insurance

* Pre-certifies all exams with patient's insurance company

* Obtains insurance authorization

* Uses knowledge of insurance carriers (example Medicare) and procedures that require waivers to obtain authorization if needed prior to appointment

* Handles release of information requests for patients, referring offices, other medical facilities, attorneys & insurance companies following Company guidelines

(5%) Team Support

* Acts as a resource to the team and other departments

* Assists in the training and onboarding of new hires, when applicable

* Supports process improvement initiatives to improve accuracy and patient experience

* Assists with special projects as assigned

(5%) Performs other duties as assigned
