Front Office Software Developer - Radley James : Job Details

Working on behalf of a leading asset management firm who are looking to add a Software Engineer proficient in either Python or C# to join one of their front office trading teams.

In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing and maintaining our trading platform, ensuring its performance and reliability. You will work closely with a team of talented engineers and business stakeholders to develop solutions that streamline operations and support our trading activities. Technical Skills and Qualifications

Required:

• 3+ years of work experience as a backend developer, with proficiency in Python and/or C#.
• Solid experience with messaging solutions such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Solace.
• Demonstrated ability in code optimization, performance tuning, and testing.
• Good understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related field.

Preferred:

• Some exposure to or understanding of energy/commodity markets (e.g., Power, Gas, Oil, Coal, Metals, Emissions) is beneficial but not required.
• Familiarity with OTC products (forwards, swaps, options, swaptions) is a plus.
