Frontend Software Engineer - Managed Web Platform - New York - Goldman Sachs : Job Details

The Managed Web Platform team at Goldman Sachs is responsible for architecting and building foundational technologies to help deliver digital products to our clients. As we build this next generation platform, the quality of the user experience will be paramount to its success. The Managed Web Platform team is product driven and developer focused with a common goal to simplify web application deployment lifecycles.

As a member of the Managed Web Platform team, you will be responsible for introducing the latest web technologies to the firm and streamlining adoption. You will work in a close-knit team to build an API driven web rendering layer inspired by the Jamstack model. You will help implement leading open source software and innovative engineering to produce web assets that enable speed and ease of use. This framework will help teams within Goldman Sachs build and deploy massively scalable web applications for both internal users and external clients.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent in demonstrable work experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with some of the latest technologies to build rich web applications
• Strong hands-on experience with modern front-end technologies such as NextJS, Gatsby, React, Typescript, and Webpack etc
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills
• Ability to work on multiple project simultaneously in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of analytical ability, innovation and intellectual curiosity

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working with relevant technologies including Node.js, Infrastructure as Code, Rush JS, GraphQL, CSS in JS, npm, or Docker
• Experience working in delivery driven agile SDLC covering research, design and engineering
• Hands-on experience working with cloud computing platforms such as AWS is a plus
• Experience with back-end API development using Java or Node based frameworks is a plus
