We are hiring for a Propane Driver / Ag Support Split position. As a propane driver, you will be delivering fuel to our patrons in a safe and efficient manner during the busy winter season. The right candidate will drive tank truck to deliver liquefied petroleum (LP) gas to customers. Deliver and install propane tanks at customers location. Install, repair, and service gas systems at customers locations by performing the following duties. When not working in our union Seasonal Propane Driver role the position will work in a non-union, technical sales and training role as needed as well as provide support to our Agronomy division Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Delivery of product involves loading propane into the bulk truck and delivering into customers storage tanks in accordance to company, division, and location policy and procedures.
- Drives and operates trucks, vehicles, equipment and tools safely and efficiently by following all D.O.T. regulations, company policies, manufactures instructions, State and local laws and codes, and any other applicable laws, codes or regulations.
- Tank Setting, Leak Testing, Tank Management and Repairs for LP gas systems as required by NFPA codes and regulations.
- Maintains and paints LP gas tanks at company and customer locations.
- Inspect and maintain bulk facility, bulk truck and equipment continuously to ensure cleanliness, safety, proper operation and positive cooperative image.
- Documents all work as required by company, division, and location policy.
- Available and able to work on-call weeknights and weekends.
Qualifications
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move more than 100 pounds.
- Must have a valid MN drivers license.
- Able to obtain a Class B CDL License with Hazmat, Tanker and Air Brakes Endorsements.
- Active CDL with endorsements preferred
- Active Medical Card or ability to obtain one.
