Fulfillment Operator I - CJK Group : Job Details

The Fulfillment Operator will operate a platform pick lift and forklift to fill orders from the fulfillment racks. Filling orders involves single book orders and stacking boxes on a skid to fill truck order shipments. The Fulfillment Operator will utilize requisitions and order sheets to pick items, place and arrange items in containers and bins following specific instructions, and arrange containers on pallets. They will perform duties in accordance with standard operating instructions, and ensure shipments are correct and defect-free. They will operate a forklift, maintain equipment, and perform basic maintenance, conduct physical inventories, and report quality variances. Duties/Responsibilities:

• Complete daily machine checklist before beginning to operate machine.
• Read and follow directions off pick ticket.
• Check containers for damage, confirm correct items and quantities are selected.
• Move completed orders to shipping area.
• Placing containers on skids, and securing with stretch wrap, shrink wrap and strapping.
• Operate pick lift and forklift.
• Complying with OSHA and other safety regulations.
• Assisting in maintaining cleanliness of fulfillment center.
• Be alert for obstructions or hazards in aisles and warehouse.
• Operate machine at a reasonable speed.
• In one 8 hour shift the goal is to pick a minimum of 450 lines.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• 1+ years' work experience in a similar role preferred.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow directions.
• Detail focused.
• Ability to work on a team with diverse range of people.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Load and unload boxes for skid orders and stand for long periods of time.
• Safety shoes required.
