Position Overview:
The client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Wildfire Litigation Attorney to join our team. As a litigation team member, you will represent clients in complex, high-stakes wildfire-related cases. This position is ideal for an attorney with a passion for environmental justice and a strong desire to advocate for individuals and communities impacted by wildfires.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead complex litigation related to wildfire claims, including negligence, property damage, personal injury, and class action suits.
- Handle all aspects of litigation, from pre-litigation investigation, case preparation, discovery, and motion practice to trial preparation and post-trial proceedings.
- Collaborate with expert witnesses, investigators, and other professionals to build strong cases for clients.
- Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
- Stay informed on changes in wildfire-related laws and regulations, including environmental regulations, fire safety standards, and insurance law.
- Provide strategic legal advice to clients and their families who have been impacted by wildfires.
- Maintain and develop relationships with clients, potential clients, and the community.
- Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with the support of a collaborative team.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the California State Bar.
- 1+ year of experience in litigation, with a focus on environmental, personal injury, or property damage law.
