Responsibilities
  • Preform repairs as directed
  • Attend training, shop meetings, continue education provided by the manufacturers to improve competence level
  • Understand and follow Federal, State, and Local regulations
  • Road test vehicles to quality check work performed
  • Keep shop area neat and clean and able to account for all dealership owned tools
  • Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
  • Document all work performed
  • Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or maintenance work is required
  • Diagnose the cause of malfunction
  • Maintain CSI level established by manufacturer and dealership standards
Qualifications
  • Some Automotive experience is required
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Available full time
  • Eager to learn and advance in an automotive career
  • Valid Illinois driver's license with a good driving record
  • Own or be willing to purchase the basic tools needed to perform job duties
  • Have a reliable way to get to work
  • Previous schooling a plus, prefer web/classes
Hours
  • Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
  • Every 3rd Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
