Full-Time Cable Extruder - Day Shift - Interpower Corporation : Job Details

Full-Time Cable Extruder - Day Shift Interpower Corporation is currently seeking a team-oriented candidate for a full-time Cable Extruder in its Lamoni manufacturing facility. Hours This position requires a flexible work schedule which consists primarily of day shift hours, Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.; however, some night shift hours will be required. Night shifts will receive a pay shift premium. The ability to work a varying schedule is essential. Overtime including weekends if required by the supervisor. Candidates should possess; outstanding communication skills, commitment to continuous improvement, successful work history, and a strong work ethic. Benefits Include

Responsibilities Include, but are Not Limited to: Performs all Extruder Line and Lab tasks competently in order to delight internal and external customers

• Rotates through all operations on the extrusion line.
• Performs all manufacturing operations required to insulate, cable and jacket cable
• Performs and records all quality checks at the line and in the lab and it quick to respond with adjustments if results are negative
• Makes adjustments to the line to ensure a quality product is produced
• Works as a team with other to produce the cable
• Understands the operation of the extrusion line and cabler and their controls
• Knows how to make adjustments and set ups to the cable line
• Produces reliable and precise data

Performs all entry level molding tasks competently in order to delight internal and external customers

• Successfully achieves Level 1 status within the Skill and Knowledge Compensation Plan. Rotates though al operations in molding
• Identifies quality parts. Crimps, and molding
• Operates all entry level molding machines which includes setting them up
• Understands flow charts, routings, and training aids
• Understands the importance of rotation

Instrumental in continuous improvement processes for production, quality and safety on the cable making line and in the lab.

• Generates ideas for improvement for any area of the company
• Identifies safety issues and makes sure they are addressed
• Increases productivity in set-up and operation of the extrusion line
• Increases productivity in the molding area
• Utilizes concepts from training classes
• Production to make improvements
• Knows and follows safety policies at all times

Works as a member of the team to help teammates meet the manufacturing goals

• Meets the documented expectations of the supervisor
• Works with all members of the team
• Is always positive towards all teammates
• Pitches in and help wherever needed.
