Full-Time Dispatcher Responsible for working as a team member to schedule and coordinate dispatches in a quick and effective manner. We are looking to add to our small, tight-knit dispatching team that successfully navigates the complexity of our diverse customers. The right candidate will be able to keep up with high-energy, quick-thinking situations while making the best decision possible. Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task are absolutely necessary. Job Responsibilities
- Communicating with drivers and dispatching loads
- Scheduling broker hauls
- Hours-of-service support
- Taking customer orders
Normal work hours are completely in office: 8am-6pm Monday-Friday, as well as every 3rd Saturday or more as needed. - Must be able to stay cool, calm and collected in high pressure situations
- Must be willing to be trained, but dispatch experience is a plus
- Driving experience is not necessary but a plus
- Must have strong toponymy/geographical skills, knowledge of Northeast Ohio toponymy/geography is a plus
- Must be able to multi-task
- Excellent communication skills
- Accountability
- Reliably prompt/timely
- Must have adequate skill and experience in general technologies especially Office 365: Word and Excel
