Job Description:
The Baker School of Business and Technology seeks a full-time tenure track faculty member for the Marketing Communications department with specialized expertise in creative copywriting. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating advertising campaigns across local, regional, national, and global media, including traditional outlets (print, TV, audio) and digital platforms (internet and social media) and skilled in copywriting and copyediting within the advertising field. The successful candidate will be up-to-date with industry practices and technology, understanding trends in advertising, digital marketing, and content creation, including familiarity with social platforms and content strategy.
Primary responsibilities include delivering engaging lectures that promote active learning and encourage creative and analytical thinking. The new faculty member will be expected to develop and expand the curriculum in the areas of advertising and copywriting across different mediums, audiences, and brand voices.
Additional responsibilities include advising students, mentoring, facilitating internships, alumni engagement, department meetings, and participating in industry functions. The new faculty member will serve on department, school, and college-wide committees, support accreditation, and participate in administrative activities as required.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
* Candidates must have a master's degree in communications or related field, or enrolled in a master's degree program, in progress, to completion.
* Minimum of ten (10) years experience in copywriting across different mediums.
* Technical writing skills: proficiency in various writing styles and formats.
Preferred Qualifications:
* College-level teaching or instructional experience.
* Portfolio (CV) that showcases a range of successful copywriting campaigns.
* Terminal degree in a field related to marketing or communications.

Salary
The final starting salary and appointment rank will be based on education level and cumulative experience; Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) Salary Schedules pg. 72.
Instructor: $65,207.33 - $75,971.53
Assistant Professor: $75,917.54 - $111,883.11
Associate Professor: $88,858.05 -133,780.10
Professor: $108,354.52 - $163,053.55

This position will be required to constantly read and comprehend, occasionally perform calculations, constantly verbally communicate, frequently analyze, and constantly write. The working conditions for this position will be any combination of the classroom, lab, and/or office space. Certain roles may be required to handle machinery and chemicals.
