Title: Logistics Assistant Supervisor

Job Objectives:
The Logistics Assistant Supervisor oversees and manages drivers, dispatchers, and mechanics in the Logistics Supervisor's absence and supports the Logistics Supervisor in all areas as needed.

- Financial:
- Supervises staff and resources with integrity and fiscal accountability.
- Supports Logistics Supervisor in the recording of all purchase orders issued with dates, part, vehicle, and vendor name.
- People:
- Helps ensure adequate staffing levels to meet all areas of logistics including dispatchers, drivers, and mechanics. Assists in hiring as needed.
- Prepare and administer corrective action and disciplinary notices in accordance with TSA Policy in the absence of the Logistics Supervisor or as directed by the Logistics Supervisor.
- Promptly forwards all employment related documents to the Logistics Supervisor.
- Supports the Warehouse Manager and Logistics Supervisor in cultivating a positive team environment including maintaining a diverse work force.
- Ensure Drivers are trained in proper pre-trip and post-trip of vehicles and reporting issues with vehicles to the appropriate parties.
- Logistics;
- Supervising all product donation pick-up and store delivery as directed by the Logistics Supervisor.
- Learn the procedures associated with purchasing supplies and coordinating services of trucks and service vehicles. Following all purchasing policies for the center.
- Work with vendors to ensure repairs are handled efficiently and in a timely manner to prevent loss of efficiency in the absence of the Logistics Supervisor.
- Ensure tires are checked regularly and replaced as needed to prevent accidents.
- Property and Equipment:
- Oversee that the warehouse and garage is being run in accordance with OSHA Safety Guidelines and meet all TSA Policies.
- Oversee the regular updating of the inventory for assigned departments/property.
- Ensure Accident Reports are issued as necessary and report evidence of excessive damage or abuse of equipment by drivers and take appropriate disciplinary action as needed.
- Ensure coordination with the Safety Coordinator on all work orders to meet DOT requirements for logging repairs.
- Program:
- Work with ARC Director for Rehabilitation Services in assigning, supervising, and training beneficiaries to maximize work therapy goals. Work with department leaders to support the success of the beneficiaries.
