Due to upcoming retirements, SUMMIT TOWNSHIP FIRE DEPARTMENT IS CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR: FULL-TIME OR PAID ON CALL FIREFIGHTERS - Those applying for either position must have the following qualifications: Minimum age 18 years Valid Michigan Driver's License High School Graduate or Equivalent State of Michigan FF-1 and FF-2 Certified State Licensed EMT - National Registry * (Full Time) State of Michigan Medical First Responder (paid on call) Haz-Mat Operations Hep B Immunization Pass Written Test Pass Physical Agility Test Complete Department Officer's Interview Complete Township Board Interview Pass Employment Physical Exam, Drug Screen Pass Employment and Police Background Check *Paid on Call Firefighters shall have a grace period of 2 years from their hire date to obtain an Emergency Medical Technician License - National Registry.
