Job Description
- Advocate for the inclusion and accessibility of students with disabilities within the school environment.
- Provide individualized occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs in a school setting.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address students' goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust intervention plans as needed to promote skill development and independence.
- Provide direct intervention and consultation services to support students' participation and engagement in classroom activities.
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in occupational therapy to inform practice and improve outcomes for students.
- Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and challenges related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
Requirements
- Availability for onsite service provision.
- Possession of a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Georgia.
- Demonstrated experience in occupational therapy, particularly with children of varying abilities.
