Department Details

As a primary physical therapist in the Grand Island area, you will provide essential Home Health coverage and assist in Grand Island SNF and Kearney HH. Enjoy the flexibility to manage your schedule alongside a knowledgeable team dedicated to delivering the best quality care to our patients.

Job Summary

In this role, you will plan, organize, and deliver tailored physical therapy programs designed to enhance recovery and mobility, alleviate pain, build strength, and prevent deformities. You will conduct thorough examinations and evaluations, applying appropriate interventions for clients affected by injury or disease. Key responsibilities include:

  • Documenting patient information to establish therapeutic plans and adjusting them as necessary.
  • Educating patients and their families about treatment plans and home exercises.
  • Implementing age-appropriate treatments and assessments.
  • Incorporating the latest research into your daily practices.
  • Demonstrating compliance with clinical practice guidelines and departmental regulations.

Work with individuals across various age groups and diagnoses, ensuring high-quality documentation and adherence to regulations.

Your role will include supervision of assistants and students during care provision and participation in department promotional activities. Collaborate with providers, case managers, and payers, and engage in ongoing education and training for peers.

Qualifications

A graduate degree in Physical Therapy and a valid state license are required. Applicants must maintain necessary competencies and certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers, within the first 60 days of employment.
