We are located just 10 minutes from downtown Charleston!As the Resident Services Assistant at Bishop Gadsden, you will enthusiastically provide services and assistance to the residents of Bishop Glen, Bishop Gadsden's state of the art Healthcare/Rehab Center. This service-oriented position provides resourceful administrative support to the entire Community Life Services Department!A Typical Day:
- Provide support to family members and residents during transitions by welcoming, orienting, and mentoring about their new home.
- Communicate with team members and resident's new resident move-in information
- Assemble, edit and deliver Gadsden Glen resident handbook and Gadsden Glen and community directory
- Assist with guest room reservations for the Campbell Suite and Mettler Suite.
- Create, modify, manage, confirm, or cancel any guest reservations for residents and family members in need of assistance with the online portal.
- Promote, advise, and guide residents when billable services are appropriate
- Maintain, promote, advise, and guide residents when billable services are appropriate and provide monthly invoicing spreadsheets of said billable services.
- Monitor, edit, and create BG-Life database to ensure accuracy maintaining resident and team member changes, phone numbers, emails, biographies, apartment numbers
- Educate, set up and communicate of user information of BG-Life app for new residents and team members
- Assist with project production for various departmental and organizational needs as necessary to include: Marketing materials, brochures, and organizational handouts.
- Support and aid with Gadsden Glen activities as needed
- Attend and participate in department and campus meetings to include: Safety, QI and Technology committees.
What We Need In a Candidate:
- College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3-5 years' experience as an activities professional working with elderly
- Ability to direct daily activities with little or no supervision
- Proficient with computer programs to include Microsoft Office
- Valid SC driver's license with no violations within three (3) years
- Ability to lift and/or carry weights of up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
