Job Description The Warehouse Associate maintains the shipping workflow and other warehouse operations. Works collaboratively with part-time staff to receive, ship, store and deliver all materials to the college. Assists with the entire equipment lifecycle, from receipt to end-of-life. In addition, performs light maintenance and dispatch of college vehicles.
  • Receiving and accepting packages including unloading, unpacking, verifying correct material and count with packing slips to Purchase Orders and in an ERP system
  • Coordinates/delivers materials to proper location and obtains signatures from material recipients
  • Ensures safe and secure work conditions; ensures safety, emergency and security procedures are current and appropriate equipment is available
  • Picks up, prepares outgoing shipments with correct couriers and requested shipping choices.
  • Loads/unloads college products/materials from commercial vehicles using appropriate equipment, including but not limited to a pallet-jack and/or tow motor
  • Resolves shipping issues and applicable product quality issues. Determines most effective manner of shipping; oversees and coordinates shipping and maintains bill-of-lading files
  • Assists with the process of tagging capital assets and other assets as determined by policy; maintains accurate college records and documents with current technology.
  • Coordinates pick up, packaging and shipping of recycled materials, surplus materials, and records destruction
  • Monitors vehicle maintenance and safety requirements, coordinates service and repair. Maintains maintenance records and incident reports.
  • In collaboration with distributions personnel, coordinates the dispatch of college passenger vehicles and maintaining an accurate dispatch log
  • May occasionally provide back-fill for Mail Center operations
Qualifications Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of related work experience
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License
  • Ability to walk on various surfaces, indoors and outdoors, including stairs.
  • Ability to physically maneuver to balance, lift, and carry up to a seventy-five-pound package
  • Knowledge of general warehouse operation, warehouse equipment operations and maintenance preferred, tow motor operation training will be required if hired.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs and the ERP Oracle Cloud functions preferred
Work Environment
  • Works both in the office and in a non-office setting, with variable climate conditions and noise levels
  • Environment includes equipment typically used in a warehouse setting
