FullTime Family Assistant in Mooresville for a Family of Five - Charlotte's Best Nanny Agency : Job Details

Charlotte's Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Mooresville, NC, in finding a Full-Time Family Assistant for a family of five, including 9-year-old boy/girl twins and a 7-year-old. During the school year, the Family Assistant would typically be needed Monday - Friday, 11:00 am - 6:00 pm, with 6 days a month starting at 6:30 am. During the summer, the Family Assistant would be needed Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:15 pm, with 6 days a month starting at 6:30 am. The Family Assistant should be flexible to work additional hours when the children are out of school or at home with minor illnesses.

The best Family Assistant would be energetic, organized, playful, and experienced in caring for multiple children. The ideal candidate will be a positive role model, engaging the children in fun and educational activities while encouraging responsibility and teamwork. Duties include helping with homework, facilitating activities like basketball, board games, and outdoor play, and ensuring the children get along and grow in a nurturing environment. Their children love being active, spending time in the pool, and engaging in creative activities like Legos, coloring, and sports. A Family Assistant who encourages responsibility, supports their learning, and brings enthusiasm to each day will be the perfect fit for this family. The Family Assistant will help transport the children to extracurricular activities such as soccer, gymnastics, and playdates using a provided family car. During the school year, the Family Assistant may occasionally need to assist with morning drop-offs. During the time the children are in school, the Family Assistant will be asked to perform the household duties listed below.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting the daily scheduling needs of the children

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Assisting with homework and preparing the children for the next day of school

• Transporting children to and from school and activities

Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Family's laundry and changing children's sheets weekly

• Family meal prep, packing children's lunches, and family dinner

• Kitchen clean up

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher

• Tidying the Children's bedrooms and bathrooms

• Grocery shopping

• General errands such as dry cleaning drop off and pick up

• Picking up after the Family Assistant and children throughout the day

• Light Housekeeping

Pets: The family has a leopard gecko, and the Family Assistant will have no pet responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver's license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Must be able to swim; the family has a pool

• Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on vaccinations, including the annual Flu Vaccine

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts April 14th, 2025

• Legal pay is offered at $28 an hour, negotiable depending on experience

• Continued pay while the family is away, a guarantee of 35 hours minimum paid each week
