Functional Safety Engineer - Randstad : Job Details

A Functional Safety Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Mossville, IL area. The Functional Safety Engineer ensures the safety and reliability of Resources Industries (RI) machine models by conducting risk analyses, developing and implementing functional safety concepts per ISO 19014 standards, an[ \n\t. Perform Machine Controls System Safety Assessment (MCSSA), Bowtie, and other risk analyses.\n\t. Manage and update MCSSA contents for New Product Introduction (NPI) and product refreshes.\n\t. Facilitate development and updates of Safety Concepts with performance, controls, and electronics engineers.\n\t. Apply SISTEMA tool to ensure safety control functions meet ISO 19014 performance levels.\n\t. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety standards.\n\t.
