Conexon works with Rural Electric Cooperatives (REC's) to construct fiber to the home (FTTH) networks in communities that lack reliable high-speed internet access. Conexon offers clients comprehensive broadband deployment and operations support. Our services encompass financial analysis, securing financing, network design, project management, operational support, business optimization, and determining optimal partnerships. Conexon Connect, our ISP arm, was established to operate and manage both cooperative and investor-owned rural fiber networks.Conexon's Mission:Since the 1930s, Rural Electric Cooperatives (RECs) have been instrumental in providing electricity to rural communities, a legacy we continue alongside our REC clients by delivering fiber optic internet access to rural America. In today's modern world where access to reliable broadband service is critical to our everyday tasks, we aim to connect Americans nationwide with the most capable and scalable technology in existence today, fiber.We are seeking a multidisciplinary professional adept at both qualitative and quantitative analysis, with expertise in data compilation, funding/grant application writing, and effective stakeholder communication. This role demands strong project management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel skills, and strong GIS skills. The ideal candidate excels in data analysis and visualization, effectively communicating insights across departments.RequirementsResponsibilities and Essential Job Functions:This position would include, but not be limited to, the following roles and responsibilities:
  • Develop solutions and/or processes to support team function
  • Lead funding/grant opportunities with minimal supervision
  • Lead special projects with minimal supervision
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients
  • Coordinate post award activities with Compliance team
  • Proficiency with feasibility study execution
  • Execute on funding analysis requests to support Business Development activities with direction from supervisor.
  • Assists with onboarding activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
  • BA Degree in related field with GIS certification or two years of GIS work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills including, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, COUNTIF, IF, etc.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications.
  • Proficiency in object-relational databases management systems (PostgreSQL) and geospatial databases (PostGIS).
  • Data analysis skills.
  • Solid understanding of SQL.
  • Effective Problem-Solving abilities.
  • Public Speaking & meeting facilitation skills.
Preferred
  • Proficiency with Adobe.
  • Experience with PowerBI.
  • Experience with state and/or federal grants.
